LESSON REGISTRATION
Session registration opens approximately 2 weeks prior to the session start date. All classes are filled on a first come, first serve basis. All session payments must be received to reserve your space. Payment guarantees a spot within the class. All participants are required to check in at the reception desk before each class. There are no make ups for Group Swim Lessons. Medically excused absences will be made up where space is available.
Specific Instructors are Not Guaranteed
Lesson Progression
Students do not automatically progress to the next level. In order to graduate to the next level, they will have to demonstrate the exit skill criteria. It is very common for children to repeat the same level for multiple sessions.

Private & Semi Private Lessons
All Private & Semi-Private Lessons are provided by American Red Cross Certified Instructors.
Instruction available for the phobic, beginner, intermediate and advanced swimmer. Private & Semi-Private Swim Lessons are great for children and adults who want to improve their swimming and are recommended for anyone who is fearful of the water.
Single sessions or packages are available for purchase. All lessons are 30 minutes long and expire one year from date of purchase. Private & Semi-Private Swim Lessons are based on the student and instructor availability.
Lesson fees are per person. 10% off sibling discount for second child taken from the member rate.

Parent Tot Swim Lessons
Infants and toddlers ages 6 months – 3 years will enjoy exploring water activities that promote the development of arm and leg movements as well as breath control. Basic swimming and safety skills are taught. A parent or caregiver is in the water for each class, acting as a co-instructor. The goal is to build confidence to ease the transition into independent lessons, while serving as a parent and child bonding experience.

A parent or caregiver is in the water for each class, acting as a co-instructor. The goal is to build confidence to ease the transition into independent lessons, while serving as a parent and child bonding experience.
Students will be introduced to floating on their backs and front, jumping in unsupported and submerging. Children will be given toys as well as singing songs and other activities.
Children MUST wear swim diapers underneath their bathing suits. For your convenience, swim diapers, goggles, swim caps and ear plugs can be purchased at the Reception Desk.

Pre-School Swim Lessons
Pre-School Swimming puts the “fun” in fundamentals. Each class is loaded with enjoyable, engaging and challenging activities that motivate the children to want to perform and learn to swim successfuly. For children ages 3 – 5 years who are ready to take independent lessons with an American Red Cross certified instructor in a group class setting.. Children will start to develop positive attitudes and safe practices around the water.
PRE-SCHOOL LEVEL 1 (BEGINNER)
Who? Children who have never taken swim lessons, or might be afraid or uncomfortable in the water.
Skills to be introduced: Basic swim skills like entering/exiting the water safely, blowing bubbles, submerging underwater, gliding and kicking on front and back. Adding arms with legs may be introduced as well as retrieving submerged objects.

PRE-SCHOOL LEVEL 2 (INTERMEDIATE)
Who? Children who are comfortable in the water, will completely submerge and blow bubbles, as well as glide and kick on their front and back with assistance.
Skills to be introduced: Independent floating and gliding on front, combined arms and legs on front and back, elementary backstroke, and climbing out and jumping in unassisted.
There are no guaranteed make ups or pro rating for missed classes.

PRE-SCHOOL LEVEL 3 (ADVANCED)
Who? Children who can swim combined arms and legs on front for three body lengths unassisted. Glides on front and back for at least two body lengths unassisted, and will retrieve a submerged object from a shallow depth.
Skills to be introduced: Advanced combined arms and legs on front and back with rotary breathing, retrieving submerged objects from bottom of pool, and glides on front and back with recovery to a vertical position.

Kids Swim Level 1: Water Exploration
Children ages 6 or older who might be afraid or uncomfortable in the water. The objective of this class is to help the child feel comfortable in the water and learn the basics of swimming. The objective of this class is to learn water adjustment, breath control, buoyancy, entering/exiting water, front and back kicking with support, and using arm strokes for short distances. No flotation devices will be used. This class is 45 minutes.

Kids Swim Level 2: Primary Skills
To enter class, children must be comfortable in the water using basic beginner strokes on front and back without assistance. The objective of this class is to increase breath control, floating, gliding and flutter kicking on front/back and work on intermediate freestyle skills. The goal is to swim freestyle and backstroke with minimal to no assistance from instructor. This class is 45 minutes.

Kids Swim Level 3: Stroke Development
To enter class, children must be able to swim independent freestyle and backstroke, and demonstrate beginner level alternate side breathing for freestyle. The objective of this class is to focus on freestyle and backstroke with proper breathing techniques. This class will also feature an introduction to treading water, breaststroke and diving. This class is 45 minutes

Kids Swim Level 4: Stroke Improvement
To enter class, children must be able to perform all of the skills in Level 3, and be comfortable swimming in the lap pool. The objective of this class is to correct and refine freestyle and backstroke, as well as practicing advanced breaststroke. This class will also feature an introduction to butterfly, diving, and flip turns. This class is 60 minutes.

Kids Swim Level 5: Stroke Refinement
To enter class, children must demonstrate advanced freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke in the lap pool. The objective of this class is to refine all four basic strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly). Children will continue to perfect flip turns and diving, as well as practice long distance swimming, and learning to use a time clock to keep pace. This class is 60 minutes.

Swim Team Clinic
This clinic is for children around the ages of 8-13 years old. Participants may be interested in eventually joining a swim team, or continuing to swim for fitness. All four competitive strokes turns and starts will be taught in depth, drawing on hydrodynamic principles. The objective will be to increase stroke efficiency and correctness as well as gain ideas to use in participants’ own swim workouts. This class is 60 minutes.
DATES & TIMES: Session starts: Wednesday January 15th 6-7pm
PRICING & INFORMATION
Children must be able to swim 50 yards each of freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke unassisted to enter the clinic. They should also have some knowledge of butterfly. All classes will take place in the lap pool.
This clinic is for children around the ages of 8-13 years old who are comfortable in an American Red Cross Kids Level 4. Participants may be interested in eventually joining a swim team, or continuing to swim for fitness.
Each week will consist of a one hour class. All four competitive strokes turns and starts will be taught in depth, drawing on hydrodynamic principles. The objective will be to increase stroke efficiency and correctness as well as gain ideas to use in participants’ own swim workouts.
Participants are not USA-Swimming registered athletes. Minimum of three participants required in order for the clinic to run.

Fulfills the requirement for the Lifesaving or Swimming Merit Badge which can be used for the rank toward becoming an Eagle Scout. Course is taught by Boy Scout Counselor Adrienne Davies.

- Must be a competent swimmer who has successfully completed the Swimming Merit Badge
- Blue card from your Scoutmaster prior to the start of each program

SWIMMING MERIT BADGE

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
Fulfills the requirement for the Swimming Merit Badge which can be used for the rank toward becoming an Eagle Scout. This program is for both boys and girls. This is not a learn to swim program.
Course is taught by Boy Scout Counselor Adrienne Davies. Adrienne holds various certifications from the American Red Cross including WSI, WSIT, LGT and LGIT. There must be a minimum of 5 scouts for the course to run, and a maximum of 10.
Prerequisites:
- Pass the Boy Scouts of America Swim Test
- Able to swim 25 yards of the following strokes: freestyle and elementary backstroke
- Able to swim 15 yards of the following strokes: breaststroke, backstroke, and sidestroke
- Able to enter the water feet first and head first dives, and float or tread water for 1 minute
- Blue card from your Scoutmaster prior to the start of each program
Swim Team
For children ages 7–18 years old. Our medium-sized swim team practices out of Club Fit Jefferson Valley. Swim Team includes training with ASCA-certified coaches, dryland training and a team swim cap. We have a great coaching staff that works closely with swimmers to properly teach and improve technique with all strokes.

The Club Fit Jefferson Valley Swim Team (CFJV) is a USA Swimming Program run by ASCA Level 4 Coach Kerri Going. All coaches trained by the American Swim Coach Association will provide quality swim instruction and training in a unique environment.

USA Swimming Registration/Team Unify Meet Fees:
- A USA Swimming registration fee is not included in your tuition. This fee is paid directly to USA Swimming each season.
- USA Meets are TBA. Swimmers are expected to attend meets.
- Team Unify website is provided as the primary means of communication for swim meet registration and payment, team communications, and tracking swimmers results and standings. Once your child is registered you will have the ability to create your own Team Unify account as soon as you join the team.
- Parents are responsible for selecting yes/no via Team Unify for swim meet enrollment. Meets will be announced along with an attendance deadline. If you do not select yes before the deadline you will not be able to enter the meet. For championship meets, coaches will enter swimmers who qualified, and parents can select no to opt out. If you select yes to attending a meet and drop out after the attendance deadline, you will still be responsible for meet fees (this rule is set by the host team.)
- Meet fees are paid by you directly using your Team Unify Account. Create an account (no charge) upon paying annual team registration.
- Meet fees will be billed: January 1st, April 1st, June 1st & August 1st for any meet fees occurring during the prior months.
Team Tuition Registration:
- Annual team tuition is handled by the Aquatics Director once registration is confirmed by Head Coach.
- The are no credits for missed practices and no pro-rating. There are no refunds for withdrawal past 90 days of first practice, without medically excused reasons.
- Pricing is for the full season. If only doing short course (ending around spring break, exact date TBA), minus $200 from price.
- Installment Option: 4 equal payments due on September 1st, October 1st, November 1st and December 1st. Non-Members are required to arrange a Non-Member payment plan agreement for this registration option.
- All fees must be paid in full no later than December 1st.
- One 10% sibling discount off of non surcharged fee when more than one family member is participating on the team.
- Pay in full by August 31st, 2024 to receive a 10% discount off the member price.
- Participants must remain active Club Fit members throughout the swim team season to receive the member rate. Deactivation or freeze status changes after sign up will be billed the prorated difference in pricing.
- Multiple discounts cannot be combined.
- Parent meeting will be held Thursday, September 19th, 2024 from 7-8pm in the cafe.
- Team link to purchase team branded TYR gear including suits, caps, backpacks etc will be sent out in September.

I understand and agree that the FINA Anti-Doping Rules and U.S. Anti-Doping Agency Protocol for Olympic and Paralympic Movement Testing (USADA Protocol) and all other policies and rules adopted by FINA, USADA, and the USOPC apply to me and that it is my responsibility to comply with those rules. I agree to submit to drug testing at any time and understand that the use of methods or substances prohibited by the applicable anti-doping rules would make me subject to penalties including, but not limited to, disqualification and suspension.
