BRIARCLIFF AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

The After School program is for children who are enrolled in Kindergarten through the ages of 12 with a Club Fit Membership and attending a full day of school at one of our participating elementary schools. Sibling discounts are applied to Club Fit Membership dues. Cancellation policy for the After School program follows the same guidelines as the Club Fit membership agreement. PRICING

HERE ARE OUR UPDATED FEES FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

*LATE PICKUP FOR GENERAL CARE WILL BE BILLED IN 1/2 hour INCREMENTS AT $5 PER 1/2 HOUR PER DAY

THINGS TO KNOW

  • Please do not bring any toys from home to the After-School Program.
  • Club Fit is not responsible for content accessed by child on internet. Parental controls should be enabled by family PRIOR to arrival
  • Siblings will be grouped together where appropriate
  • We are a nut aware program to avoid allergic reactions
  • Parent will wait in designated parking area and staff will “walkie-in and escort child out” to avoid unnecessary entries into building
  • Immunization records dated within the past 12 months will need to be provided

ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL PROCEDURES

  • Two Tags: Each child will receive two key tags—one for them to keep clipped on their backpack, and one for you to keep on your keyring. Additional tags available.
  • Check-In: The child’s tag will be scanned at check-in each day.
  • Check-Out: You’ll need to scan the second tag at pick-up to check your child out.
  • Please make sure to attach the child’s tag securely to their backpack and keep your tag on your keyring for easy access. This system is a simple yet effective way to enhance our current protocols.

HOURS

Participants are allowed 3 hours for after care. All busses are here by 4:00 pm, which means pick-up is NO later than 7:00 pm.

SCHOOL’S OUT HALF-DAY PROGRAM

Children are bussed from school to Club fit for a half day of activities. The children have lunch right after they arrive, with activities to follow. Attending children have option to bring lunch or purchase pizza ($) ONLY; no other lunch options will be available. Your child or children needs to be confirmed for attendance before the day of the event. The half-day program ends at 3pm. The child is allowed the additional 3 hours after the program ends, so the latest pick-up for Ossining Half-Day participants is 6:00 pm.

SCHOOL’S OUT DAYS

If there is no school for Ossining—and it is on the district calendar—we will run a School’s Out Camp which runs from 9:00 am–3:00 pm. The child will have a day of sports, games and crafts throughout the day. School’s Out Days participants then have the additional 3 hours for late pick-up and need to be picked up by 6:00 pm at the latest. These days require separate registration and payment. ($)

ACTIVITIES

Please inform Ted Gilsinger or an Energy center staff member if your child is signed up for an activity after school. Tennis lessons, Kids Zumba, Kids Yoga, Flag Football, PDH/TFA Basketball, etc.  We communicate with the activities’ staff’s to coordinate pick-up and return of the child to and from the energy center for participation. For Swim Lessons, the Energy Center staff will drop off at the Aquatics Center but parents must pick up after the lesson.

SNACKS

Children are allowed to bring OR buy snack. You can allow your child to use the House Charge* account, which is an account linked to the account holder’s credit card. Another option is an account called e-Cash (set up is with member services) which acts as an electronic gift card that the snack gets deducted from each visit. Please do NOT send your child with cash. We ask to avoid snacks with peanuts or any nuts since there are so many allergies. *(Please inform our staff if you do NOT want your child to have access to your House Charge account.)

Snacks Available for Purchase: Individual Packages – Goldfish, Animal Crackers, Chips, Pretzels, Oreos, Cookies or fruit

ATTENDANCE

If your child is in Pre-K or Kindergarten and is not going to be coming to the after-school program, please email nesposito@clubfit.com to let us know. We follow the Ossining school calendar and have programs for days off and half-days; check the web during inclement weather.

HEALTH SERVICES

Bumps and Bruises
Bumps, bruises and scratches may happen. We will take care of our after-schoolers and get them back playing. Rather than disrupt you with every minor medical concern we will only contact you in the case of a more serious injury. With every injury we will fill out an accident report.

Allergies/Medications
Please alert us of any allergies & medications your child will need at Club Fit

If a Child needs to take allergy medication during the day, he/she must follow these procedures:

  • Bring a doctor’s note with instructions about dosage, times given, etc. to the
  • A parent/guardian should hand all medications to the program director

EARLY DISMISSALS

If there is an early dismissal due to weather, OSSINING children will be bussed to Club Fit since it is their primary bus stop. children will need to be picked up as soon as possible.
